The link on the screen here and in the handouts and the presentation slides that goes more in-depth about user access so that you know what it is. But, essentially, it's a a way to enable certain users in the firm to have more of those permissions. And, as you notice, it includes now, Intuit tax adviser, and, of course, Intuit link and e filing and all those services that are available. Now you are able as OneNote, I so I see this question quite a bit. You are going to be able if a staff member leaves in the middle of season, you can reassign that advanced user access to someone else. That's not a problem at all. Or if you have someone that comes in to the firm, you know, in the middle of season, you can always add them as an advanced user also. So you're not limited at the beginning. Based on what you choose, you're gonna be able to add more or reassign any advanced users if you need to. Again, more details on that process, what that means, and the overall, FAQs and general information for advanced user access can be found on that link. You can see it on your screen now, and you can click on it and access it through the handout if you would like to learn more about it. You also may find some of those links inside the program if you're jumping into the program to see information or see things as you're using it this year. Our next stop is the data import hub. This is essentially a nice consolidated platform that will show all the different areas or ways you can bring data into the program. This is coming soon in ProConnect and allows you to, essentially have within the data input drawer inside of the tax return, a place where you can upload PDFs and image files. So anything that's saved locally on your computer or cloud with Dropbox or Google Drive, you'll have access, to that content as well. You can also import things like IRS transcripts, bring those in from the IRS or being able to utilize information, from PDFs to import 10 forties. We'll talk more about that in a moment. But also k one imports, if you've prepared, you know, those those partnerships, those s corps within ProConnect, bring that information over to the shareholder of the partner beneficiary, bring that into the client's return. All of that will be found here as well. Now all of this exists in the program today. To be clear, this is a matter of consolidating it into one place, so you now have more of that one stop shop instead of having it in separate places throughout the program. Also included will be the spreadsheet imports, which are, you know, often forgotten about, but this is a pretty fantastic way to automate a lot of data entry. If you have spreadsheets for your schedule d's, your list of partners, fixed assets, you can bring that information in from a spreadsheet. And, again, this new data import hub will tie it all together in one place so that you're not having to, go across ProConnect to find all those different places where you can do these tasks. Next up are the review check marks. Hey. This is a this is a an often requested functionality. Glad to see it being added to the program because it just helps maintain some of the, what you could call, integrity of data. Has anything changed? What has changed? What needs reviewed? These check marks will help, solve that for yourself and for your staff as well. So, again, it helps you to, you know, stay on top of your clients' returns with the check marks. You can mark the fields you wanna watch. If it's green, no changes have been made since you last reviewed that field. If it's red, something has changed. Now that doesn't mean it's changed because someone did data input. Maybe a calculation has changed slightly. Especially early in the year when forms maybe are not completely final, there could be additional form sets or calculations added or adjusted. Those, audit check marks can help with that as well. You're also gonna be able to generate a report, which is a very convenient utility to see everything high level instead of having to sort through all the different fields and forms and schedules in the program. And you're also gonna be able from the forms list to see the number of changes, like what has changed just from the top down view when you're looking at all the forms without having to actually go into the forms to see it. So a lot of nice utility, a lot of nice, usability there that will help firms when they're reviewing returns or just making sure again that that return has, everything as you expect it to have and nothing has changed without you knowing or it can slip through that review process. So that will be coming soon to ProConnect. Next, if I mentioned this, all ProConnect firms will have access into a tax adviser for calendar year twenty twenty five or tax year '24. That can be tricky. So sometimes I just refer to calendar year because tax years when do they really begin? No. Don't answer that. I know. Anyway, all ProConnect firms, though, will have access to Intuit tax adviser, as of Jan. 1, 2025, which means you'll be able to create a new tax plan, those quarterly estimated payments, or, open or edit any existing returns for clients. There's no additional cost, again, starting with that tax year '24. It's built into the program. If you haven't used it before in some of these prior, what's new in ProConnect sessions, we've dived into some new functionalities and features and into a tax adviser. But if you've never explored it before, it is built directly into the tax program. It's gonna provide that first in class book to tax to advisory. So being able to take information and bring it in this case from the tax return data mine that return for what that information contains, identify trends, scenarios, and suggest relevant strategies for your clients. So it streamlines that process because you're not having to do that yourself. And because it's utilizing the data and not being subjective about it, it helps to optimize that process for, max efficiency. Because it is, as I mentioned, part of Procognate tax, it's in the cloud as well. So you're not having to, you know, install this or have something saved locally. That integration exists throughout the cloud with Intuit tax advisor. And the final piece here before I give you kind of a high level overview, as I continue on kind of into a tax adviser. Why? Why is this important? Why may you want to use it now that it's included? Maybe in the past, you hadn't, you didn't want to purchase credits or didn't you didn't have the need for purchasing credits for into a tax adviser. Well, first and foremost, it's gonna offer you those planning reports to your clients that are gonna provide those and it says expertly designed and they are, but it's really intuitively designed, which I guess is our namesake. Plans that are built quickly but not at the expense of quality. So quick is good, great. But if it's just gonna spit out blah, like, this is just generic, that's not helpful. It's making sure we're giving those specific tailored tax reports, tax plans and strategies to clients so that they can utilize that information to ensure they're not leaving money on the table and then they're seeing a return on their investment to any strategies that may be, provided. That ROI, making sure that we're communicating that so that they not only understand the value of, you know, proactive tax planning, but they can see it. And seeing sometimes is believing. Here's the direct return on investment of the your service is being provided to what they're saving, to what they're no longer leaving on the table. In the past, I've shared this before and, you know, I've just kind of gone piece by piece. I wanted to share with you the high level overview of, you know, everything in Intuit tax advisor. What does it have to offer? As I mentioned, starting at the top, you'll see those strategies built in allowing you to adjust those. But before that, allowing you to see which clients could potentially benefit from tax advisory. So it's gonna look at your clients in ProConnect Connect and say, these clients, if we built out a tax plan for them, if we used into a tax advisor, this looks like it's their potential savings. It's gonna allow you to identify those clients so you can better engage with them and identify those clients that could utilize those services. And while it's going to pull information in from the return, we know things change year over year, you're gonna be able to adjust the pre strategy baseline, and make that true to whatever changes, adjustments need to be made. And if you want to, you know, make little tweaks or have multiple different scenarios, you can do that as well. You can duplicate that, create various plans within ITA. And beyond just the basic, you know, strategies and that advisory going beyond, going beyond that looking at projections, creating those simple projections, the quarterly tax payments, wage projections, business income projection, which is coming to, and quarterly estimated projected payments. Those are gonna be key functionalities to, again, help your clients understand what the future holds and be proactive in their approach. On top of that, you'll notice some business planning utilities that Intuit tax advisor provides with basis tracking and enhanced QBI, and more information and more coming for, additional states we see for California and New York there. And as I mentioned at the beginning, that Grow Advisory, OneView inside of Intuit tax advisor will look at your clients and identify those clients that could best benefit if they were to engage with advisory services for you. So in the past, if you hadn't looked too much into Intuit tax adviser, decided maybe it wasn't the right time, I'd encourage you to look at the one view, look it into a tax adviser maybe a little later in season when things are starting to wrap up or when you have some of your clients, some of the returns completed and see, you know, where clients could potentially benefit or which clients could potentially benefit since Intuit tax advisor is now included or is included with, tax year '24, calendar year '25 for ProConnect. Our next up on the horizon, what's coming soon? I mentioned some things that were were coming soon. So that was kind of in the what's doing coming soon, but a few additional things that are coming soon to mention. We're still expecting Smart Vault integration to be included so you can integrate Smart Vault, which is a third party, document management solution, one of our partners that you'll be able to essentially connect your client list in ProConnect with Smart Vault and have, again, that shared client list across two separate cloud solutions. You're not having to manage clients in two separate locations, if you're already utilizing SmartVault. Also, batch e file will be available soon as well, so you don't have to individually file returns because then where you can select multiple clients to be e filed in ProConnect. And on top of those things that, I wanted to mention, there's always gonna be continued improvements behind the scenes that maybe we're not quite ready to share with you. We don't wanna get your hopes up or have something that we mentioned to you that changes in the future. So while there's a lot coming, there's a lot that can change with some of those things as well. So I can just share with you that we are going to, of course, continue focusing on those areas of automation, helping you do more with less work, integration, so you're having to spend less time making sure different workflow pieces are in sync, and utilizing your data to help you make data informed decisions and better understand your business using analytics instead of just those qualitative gut feelings that sometimes we really let dictate some decisions. But, oh, let's speak for myself. That's where we're looking at though to improve ProConnect as we move forward into the solution. Okay. Not into the solution, into this year with ProConnect tax as the solution. Okay. In case you missed it. So, as I had mentioned this, particular portion, they're not necessarily new functionalities, new features, but I wanted to make sure that if you missed out on these, if you hadn't heard about these, that you're aware of them. So things that are good to know, I don't think they quite make the cut for new, but that's okay. They're new ish. They're not, like, you know, five, ten years old. So they are still new, but not necessarily new since the last, what's new in ProConnect session, aired. So let me jump into our first, in case she missed a topic, and that's general performance improvements. And so this is something that, you know, doesn't have a flashy new box or a section in the program where you're going to be able to go to and read more about it. But behind the scenes, we've adjusted our entire framework, the platform that ProConnect is built on without changing the the front. Right? We we adjust everything in the back without messing up the facade, and this is going to provide an immediate impact to just general usability inside of ProConnect. So you'll see up to, and you currently will, this is in the program now, up to two times faster page rendering. So when you're navigating between ProConnect, how quickly does that page load and being able to import larger datasets. So I mentioned earlier that some people aren't aware of it. Some firms don't utilize it as much, that, you know, bringing information in from CSV files or large chunks of data. Because we're on a new platform, it's more robust to support larger datasets to be imported as well. For some of you, you may never hit that wall, but we do have some firms that have a lot of data to import. They'd have to do it in, you know, batches or chunks instead of being able to do it all at once. So that's something that we've worked to, help eliminate or reduce that occurrence so you can bring in even more data at once. What does this mean for the future then? Well, it's gonna let us do things a little bit more quickly. Easily is maybe a dangerous word there, but really it's it's something where we don't have to find as many workarounds or any ways to make things work with a platform that really wasn't, supporting some of the new functionalities and features we wanted to add. So now that is no longer a barrier. With our new platform, we can do a lot of the things we've been wanting to do for a while that we've heard you say you'd like to see in ProConnect tax. We're gonna be able to move more quickly on getting those added. And some things just were not possible. It wasn't just a barrier or slowdown. It just was not possible in the prior platform behind the scenes. So having this new platform really opens the door to opportunities and and utilities and just ways to interact and utilize ProConnect that wasn't possible in the past. So this is exciting if only for the potential. And if not the potential, I'm sure you can appreciate that compared to this time last year, a much quicker, more responsive, faster loading ProConnect is always gonna be a good thing too. Oh, I really like this one. Again, maybe hasn't affected you, but for firms that are uploading a lot of documents at once, the ability to bring a lot of information in, but also split up and merge documents is very, very helpful in managing these, these we'll call them data chunks or these PDF files that you're bringing in. So you're going to be able to upload up to 10 documents at a time. Where in the in the past, it was, you know, each one individually you'd have to upload. And you're also going to be able to if you consolidate or bring information as one combined PDF or one PDF with multiple different sections, you can split those into individual documents in ProConnect to help keep things better organized and sorted. And remember too, if you're sharing this information with clients, they have access to these files, and it's gonna help them better know exactly where these are at instead of in just one giant consolidated file or several different consolidated files, to have it separated out. On the flip side to that, if you do have multiple files, there may be the need to bring them all into one file, and you we give you that ability too. So taking it either direction to bring it out to separate it in an individual documents or combine it into one document, you'll be able to do that within ProConnect now. And also just reviewing. So being able to take this information that you're importing and to see that side by side comparison for each individual document, but also to review everything at a higher level about all the bulk information that you've brought in. Because while information is great to imp to upload this information, to import those source documents into the tax return for the ten forty, reviewing is still important. I still recommend it even with high levels of accuracy just to make sure that information is correct and it's what you expect to be brought into the return, and we've made it easy to review that information so you're not having to spin your wheels or spend a lot of extra time on that process especially. Enhanced comments is another functionality that has been released fairly recently, right, in the fall, but, something that I wanted to call out here is not maybe brand new. It may still show as new in the program, so we'll count it. Maybe it's one that, was on the verge of being new or in case you missed it. In the past, you could create notes in ProConnect. You can only do it with, you know, like, 2500 characters, which worked okay. It wasn't like a really strict limit, but there was better ways to communicate. So with comments, we're expanding that functionality to support collaboration across your firm as well as notification capabilities for those, users in your firm as well. So within the input drawer inside of ProConnect, you're able to utilize and access these comments within a client's return. You can create a comment, title it, format it so that it makes sense for you and your staff with up to 10000 characters now, so four times the size of the old notes. You can reply in threads. You can reply to someone else's comment. You can further see information for clients you have access to. So may not be a conversation you participated in, but if you have access to that client, you can see that threaded comment chain or those comments being left so that you are in the know, you're aware of what's going on with that client without having to have separate conversations outside the program via email or, messaging service or in person. It's in the program black and white as the point of truth. In addition, you can favorite certain comments. So if you want things to be kind of, pinned or, highlighted as important, you can do that. You can filter through those same comments or search to find, you know, keywords or phrases or anything you're trying to find that might have been mentioned. Speaking of mentioning, you can mention users, any one of your users that you've set up inside of ProConnect, and they'll be notified via email and in product. So when you tag someone or mention someone inside of these comments, they'll be notified so that it gets gets their attention hopefully very quickly so that they can reply to that or see what message or, what note you have left as a comment for that client inside their tax return. And then they can leave a new comment, reply to yours in the same thread, or just review it if no immediate action was needed. Okay. Perfect. Well, we've gotten to the point now in our session where I wanted to turn to, some utilities, some things inside of ProConnect that maybe get forgotten about or that are particularly relevant, during early relevant during early to mid tax season. Right? The winter time of tax season, which means really just not the tail end or we get to the April 0 deadline. And these utilities are those things that, again, you may not use so much. Some of them one of them for sure is new. One of them, you may use more than others. But, with regard, there's not talking too vaguely about them. We'll get into what these utilities are, but we'll focus on these again from that mindset of, they may be a little bit more relevant this time of year. And I wanna make sure that you're well aware of what they are because one of the common things I hear about ProConnect is I feel like I'm not getting everything I could out of the program. Like, I'm not doing everything or I don't know about everything it has to offer. So these three components, these three elements are three things that I definitely wanna make sure you know about. There's probably more, but we don't have enough time to talk about everything. So these three elements will be critical. We'll talk about it, on slides, and I'll jump into the program as well and show you around the software. Perfect, sorry, turn off the lights there for a second. So what we want to focus on, are these utilities inside of ProConnect. And we're gonna start with data conversion. It may not be something you've utilized, very often at your firm. Excuse me. This is bringing in files from other software, other supported software into ProConnect tax. So it's utilized by firms that have access to prior your client files with another tax software. And it's something something that is automated. It's repeatable, so you don't have to just do it once. And is really a simple three step process to really condense it down. You back up your data. You back up the client data in the previous software and the other program. You upload those files to ProConnect. There's a conversion wizard that you will utilize to upload and bridge the gap between your, locally saved files, the backup, and the cloud. And that'll help you upload those files to ProConnect directly. You'll get an email that says, hey, everything's ready to go. Your clients are ready and waiting. And that is the three step process for conversions. So fairly simple. And again, with that wizard behind the scenes, it's gonna help hold your hand through that process. What this means is an underlined, mantra, an underlined message here. So this process, because it's completely automated, we're confident it's extremely accurate and a % guaranteed. And our team is, able to assist if something should happen, if something doesn't look right. But I will tell you, and we'll look at this a little bit more closely. Oftentimes with conversions, the problems arise in that backup. If you've used a certain software software or software has been used for a long time, sometimes backups can get a little bit corrupted or have issues, but we'll be here to help to make sure the files you're uploading are in a format that can be readable, and we can bring that information into ProConnect. Some caveats or some notes I wanted to make sure you are aware of. This process of converting data, again, will take data from prior year tax return data and convert it into the current year of ProConnect. And so you're gonna be able to take tax year '23 data from other software and bring it into ProConnect as starting point tax year '24 returns. It'll create new clients if they're new clients coming in or if they already exist inside your client list or their QuickBooks online, clients you have is through QuickBooks online accountant. It'll match their data to those existing clients as well. So that is the conversion process. Let me share with you inside the program where you can find this. We'll walk through this so you can see what it looks like and, you know, in particular, I wanna know I want you to know where you can find it at. Notice too, and this will be on a lot of the slides today, but I just wanna call it back out. There are hyperlinks built into these presentation slides and kind of the subtitles of each slide. So you'll be able to find those in the handouts. You can click on that, reference guide, that article, and it'll give you step by step instructions and further resources if you do have questions about conversions. As I mentioned, they are completely automated, but our team is still here behind the scenes to help to help answer questions, you know, clarifying any needs clarified should that be the case. But let me, let me jump into the program here, and we'll take a look at where this can be found. Perfect. So we're inside of ProConnect now. You'll be able to find conversions under the settings. And within settings, you'll find the, appropriately labeled convert data. And this is where you go to get the process started. So I mentioned that, you know, hey, we've got the article in the slides that you can look at, but this process does walk through what conversions are. It'll give you a guide on what can be converted because not everything converts. We're gonna again provide you that starting point return. And I should mention too that depending on the software you want to convert from, there may be more or less information that will convert over. Be aware as a general, I guess, rule of thumb or piece of guidance that I'd like you to take away I'd like you to walk away with. If you're converting data, it's gonna be more effort to get that return up and running than a year over year transfer. If you'd used it in if you prepare that return in ProConnect last year and are wanting to prepare for that client again this year, easy peasy. Right? We can get that started and move forward. Conversions, while it's gonna eliminate a lot of work that you may what you have to do for a brand new client that you would be starting from scratch, there's still gonna be, in general, a little bit more effort involved to get that return started when you compare it to your clients that you've had year over year. So be aware of that. You can find that information here. Once you're ready to get started, it'll have you go through and check your client list for any EINs, SSNs. The reason it's asking you for this is because the conversion process will look for any EINs or SSNs to match that data. This will help prevent duplicate clients, but it will also look for other information for your clients, other, you know, demographic information or identifying information. But the social or EIN is probably the best way to match those clients up. You don't have to enter this information. You can skip it and come back later. But if you do have clients, especially those clients that you have inside of QuickBooks Online accountant, you may not have entered their EIN or SSN. And we're wanting just to make sure we don't duplicate anything here. Once you are finished with this process, you're going to download the conversion wizard, and that will take you, through the process of, uploading those files. Again, using the instructions, it'll tell you exactly how to back up the data and then also submitting it. And once those convert once that those files are converted, you'll see them listed in your list of clients. They'll be here. You'll be able to open a return and or open a client's profile and see their return for that given year and begin working on those starting point returns inside ProConnect. Of course, we'll give you an email. We'll let you know that they're ready to go, but that process is, again, fairly straightforward. And because it's automated, if you need to upload more files, you need to re upload files, you always can do that as well. So it's not just a one size fits all. It's not a one time and that's it. There's no more conversions. We let you reapproach this, re upload, and get more files converted as needed. Okay. Before before I continue on, let's go to our next polling question. So our next polling question is, data conversion is available for clients with PDF copies of their tax returns or evolves. So take about one minute to answer this question, and I'll take a look at the questions you've been asking of me behind the scenes. If you'd stepped away, come back, answer the polling question. While you're here, we got about thirty more seconds for this polling question. I wanna give you plenty of time to answer, and we'll move on to our next topic. So, yeah, I hope, you know, with data conversions, I hope it's something that if you have the need, you know that you can use it. Oftentimes, it's not utilized unless firms are acquiring firms or they're moving to ProConnect tax, and this is their first year using ProConnect tax. But if you do have client files, if you've got client files files backed up in such a way that they can essentially be opened by another software, then you have the opportunity to bring data in this way. If you have PDFs so to answer the question on the screen, if you have PDFs, you're not gonna be able to convert that data through our data conversion wizard, but there's another process I'll tell you about here in just a moment, but not data conversion with PDFs. Those are with backed up files. So let's wrap this question up here in three, two, and one. As I mentioned, ten forty import is the next utility that I wanted to tell you about. This is gonna utilize a PDF copy of the ten forty for your client. So when you're adding a client, when you're, you know, starting a return, you're gonna be able to utilize a PDF copy of their ten forty to get things started to enter some of that information automatically so you don't have to manually enter that data. Whereas the conversions always use the prior year client files to bring over current year starting points, ten Ten forty import will do that if you have the prior year ten forty. So if you had a '23 and you wanted to, bring it forward as a starting point 2024 return, you can do that if you have that client's prior year 10/40. But maybe your client started on their own, they did a partial return somewhere, they have a copy of their 10/40 return that you need to take a look at because maybe something's not quite right. You can still utilize their current year 10/40 to bring over their information. Right? Their name, birthday, this, the key contact information or the key demographic information for themselves, so that you're not having to enter that information either. So it's essentially a way for you to automate that client creation, but it's not gonna bring over the financial data if you use a current year, 10/40. And, you know, that's the that's the idea here too. Right? Is importing data from a prior year return rather than manually entering all that information. So let me show you where this can be found in the programs that you have, again, a better idea of where you can locate this functionality should that need arise. Should you have a client that comes to you with a copy of their ten forty and you need to, take a closer look at it yourself? You can find this anywhere you see the option to create or add a new client. So in this case, I'm in the client list, what I always call the Rolodex of clients. Under add client, you'll see the option when you're starting an individual return to import their ten forty via PDF to get started. And you'll notice it does mention what file types are acceptable. Only the ten forty, the standard version is supported. You can upload that ten forty from your device. So if you have it saved locally, you can upload it that way. Or if you have it saved in the cloud, you can connect your cloud storage and have it uploaded directly there. There is a link that'll tell you more about how to import a ten forty. You'll also find this in the presentation slide so you have more, access to that should you need it. This process is not just simply about, hey, I've got a return. I can start working on it. Notice it's gonna give you the option to review the general information about what's being brought in, what the client details are, and verify that information is correct. And then finally, create that return so you're not having to, again, start that return from scratch. All of these steps are designed to keep you in the loop, not necessarily so much that you're gonna have to make a lot of changes or adjustments or things will be wrong, but we want you to be aware of what data is being brought in automatically to the return so that you still have a hand in the creation of this file and that you can potentially catch anything should you need to, but also just feel confident the data being brought over is accurate and you're saving time and not having to manually enter that information. So that's the ten forty import inside of ProConnect allowing you to, get work done hopefully a little bit quicker. And I think that means we're ready for another poll. Kind of rapid fire polling here, but that's okay. The question is ten forty import cannot import which of the following from a prior year return? What a mean question because I didn't talk about what you can or cannot import. However, you'll find the list of everything that can be imported within that article list, within the program itself. If you wanna learn more about how to do it, you'll see at the bottom of the article of a list of everything that will convert. In general, remember, this is bringing information in just from the ten forty, you know, and the schedule one, schedule two, so those main documents. So that should give you a hint here as to what will not import when you think about what is actually listed out on the ten forty itself. So take a moment to answer this, and we'll continue on in just a moment. This, functionality of being, you know, bringing in a return or starting return for the ten forty, this is probably one of those functionalities I think I have heard been have been asked about for at least, six, seven years. It's something that firms always ask about because they generally have clients come to them and, you know, they say, I'd I'd like to engage with you. I'd like to use your expertise. I think you can help me. And they have to essentially start from scratch and do intake even if the client has brought all their documents, all their paperwork. And this allows you to get just a much quicker start on that process. To answer the question here, it'll bring in total wages, so the, you know, the summed amount of wages from the ten forty, the business income on the ten forty, and foreign tax credits, that information that was on, you know, the the forms itself or the schedules. So you'll have that information. What it's not gonna bring in is a list of all the fixed assets that were associated with it. It'll bring in, you know, the depreciation amount. It'll bring that information in, potentially, you know, as it's reported on the ten forty. But remember, in ProConnect, you're gonna be able to take a spreadsheet of fixed assets and import those, separately. So when you think about the ten forty import and the conversions, while not everything will be brought over, don't forget that there exists a lot of utilities inside of ProConnect that we mentioned earlier that can help you automate that. You know, schedule d import, fixed asset import, you're importing, partners, bringing those in that information in via spreadsheet as well as for your ten forty clients. If you're utilizing Intuit link, you're gonna be able to, further bring that information. And in fact, that's where we, that's where we pick up here on Intuit link. Being able to connect with clients, and take their documents and import them into the tax return. So you're further automating the process itself. If you've never used Intuit link before, this is really the highlight on it. If you've used it before, we'll go over the basics here, just as a refresher, which could prove helpful as things are getting ramped up, for this tax season. But three steps, I'll keep it simple with three steps again. You invite your clients to use Intuit link. They answer questions and upload documents that you've requested, and then you have access to their responses. And for those ten forty clients, you can import documents into the tax return. Intuit link is available for your individual and business clients, but that import functionality specifically are for your or is for your ten forty clients only. So let's take a peek at Intuit link so you can see what this process looks like. Intuit link is found within ProConnect tax in the Intuit link tab. And from here, you're gonna be able to see all the tax years you've used into a link, the clients that have currently been invited, and what their progress is. And you can view those requests to go into detail about what questions you've asked, what documents you've requested. And also further from here, you can view this information and change the status to adjust where it is in the process. And if it's marked as ready for entry or complete, just as a note, it will lock that question or that document so that your clients can't change that. Also notice that you can act as the taxpayer through this process in Intuit link, which will allow you to answer questions and upload documents on your client's behalf. And some firms utilize that to treat this as more of a, an intake form. So it may not be something you're sending to clients earlier pre or preemptively. As you're meeting with clients, you send this to your client, and you can go through and answer these. Your clients do not have to accept the invitation for you to go through and start answering this information or uploading documents on their behalf. When you do so, you'll be able to, again, kind of skip into that third step I mentioned for your individual clients, take those documents you or they have uploaded and bring it into the program itself. If you wanted to invite clients, notice you can create a single request or you can invite clients in batches more than one at a time. When you invite clients, again, individual or business, you can filter if you'd like. You'll select that client and continue on. If it's the first year, it's going to allow you the option to choose a template that you can customize in the settings. So you may have certain templates for business for business clients versus individual clients. And this, if you've already utilized Intuit link for clients in the past, it will personalize it based on what was in their tax return and will learn year over year the types of activities and situations they have. So for example, instead of just asking about upload your w two, it will find the specific business or employer from that w two and ask for that specifically. So it's just one way it makes things more tailored and specific to your clients, so it's not generic and bland. Also, be aware that you can see the activity feed, so you have a timestamp of when your clients have answered questions or uploaded documents. Once you send this request, you'll get a preview of your email message you'd like to send, and you can send this email to your client so that they can be in utilizing Intuit link. Your client then would be able to, sign in into a link and answer these questions. That's going to enable your client to, go through from top to bottom if they want it more in kind of that, let's say, bowling with bumper style, or maybe they like to see all these displayed kind of everything at once, not, separated or in a list format. Within Intuit link, your clients are gonna be able to upload those documents by connecting with their financial institution, or they could take a picture if they're on their smartphone or tablet, or upload it simply with the from their cloud storage or from their local device, if that is what will work best for them and they are on a tablet or mobile device. So or excuse me. Or if they are not on a tablet or mobile device, we just prefer not to take a picture of their document itself. And so Intuit link is designed to be, you know, user friendly for your clients to have access to. And as they answer those questions, as they respond and upload documents, that is what will populate here and you can track that information at a glance from your profile. If you'd like to, learn more about IntuitLink, I highly recommend you try it yourself. So add yourself as a client in ProConnect tax, invite yourself, and go through these different steps so you can see firsthand what your client sees. If you'd like to see more beforehand or see it outside, in the presentation slide, you'll find a resource that will give you guides and insights to what your client will see as well as a client guide that you can share with your clients that will give them more information about Intuit link as well. One thing I wanted to mention because I get asked this quite a bit is it's great. I see the documents are listed here. How can I share documents with clients using Intuit link? There's really three ways. First, again, if you view that request, if you act as the taxpayer, you can upload documents to your clients. So these will be uploaded to them. It will utilize something you've requested, but you can still upload a document this way. If it's not a document on that list, you can always go to your client's profile under documents, and this will allow you to add documents for firm use or to share. So if you add a document from your device or from, a device or from, a mobile device to upload it, this will share it with your client as well through Intuit link. You'll be able to see it. Your firm will be able to see it, but it will also be saved here. And if I go, for example, to 23, we can see all the documents that Katie potentially has uploaded, this client has uploaded, but also something that was shared directly with the client that they have access to as well. Perfect.
