Transcript for "In the Know: Live webinar": Hey, pro advisers, and welcome to the June In the Know. This is Jaclyn, and I'm so happy to be your host. If you've been honest with In the Know for the past few months, you know, usually, I'm in, the Intuit office or in the Bay Area, but I happen to be dialing in from The UK. I'm here visiting some friends. So a little bit of a different background, but happy to be with you all. And we have a great show in store. So we'll kick it off with ProAdvisor community news. Again, if you've been with us for a few months, typically, we call this I think it was upcoming events, but we wanted to give it a little bit of a rebrand and make it more ProAdvisor oriented. So we'll be calling it ProAdvisor community news, then we'll move into our product innovations. We have a great lineup. We'll dive into Square Connector by QuickBooks, party HR guidance for QuickBooks online and lead payroll, and then cruise into improved product recommendations for your clients. And then we'll take a peek at what's around the corner. There are some big innovations coming out from Intuit in regards to a new interface in regards to agentic AI. So we'll give you a peek at what to expect in the upcoming months in our upcoming July show. So that'll round us out. Alright. A little bit of housekeeping. Hopefully, this looks familiar. As a reminder, if you have questions, there's a fantastic team working hard behind the scenes to answer the questions that come up. Pop them into the q and a. If these questions are specific to your firm and your clients, go ahead and reach out to care. They'll get you sorted. In that same right hand panel, you'll see that there's a docs tab. This is where you can download the handout. So this is the PDF version of the slide deck from today's presentation. There are a bunch of fantastic links out to resources, various webinar registrations, deep dives, so highly recommend downloading the handout. Might as well do it now before we get going. You'll also see when it goes live that there will be a poll tab in that same right hand panel. When that goes live, you'll get a little notification, select the answer that resonates most with you, and then click submit. We get a lot of questions about whether you or your teammates can watch the show after the live airing, and the answer is yes so long as you're registered for In the Know. The recording will be available typically within twenty four hours. So by end of day, maybe a touch later, just log back in to the webinar platform using the link you used to register, and you can catch the show if you wanna watch it once, twice, however many times suits you. Alright. And for those of you looking for CBE, be sure to be here for fifty minutes and answer at least one poll question. We'll have quite a few poll questions. Just answer one, and if you do that, we'll send your CBE certificate to you within a few business days. Alright. So we'll cruise into our segment on ProAdvisor community news, but before we really get going, my colleague Rose is going to launch a survey. So the survey will appear in your right hand panel and our intent with this survey is to really get to know our audience a little bit better. We're constantly working to iterate and refine the show, so this just gives us a chance to get to know you. We're curious to know of the folks who register for the for in the know for the program, how many of you are pro advisers, meaning you signed up for QuickBooks online accountant and actively use QBOA, as we call it, and the pro adviser resources, or are you not involved with the pro adviser program and you're just dropping in? So I believe the survey is launched. Rose can tell me if I'm wrong. So that'll just be up on the side and you can answer it at any point during the show. So with that, into our ProAdvisor community news. If you are certified, then you have likely received email communication from us by now, letting you know that recertification is open. Our actively certified pro advisers need to maintain their certified status through passing a brief exam. The exam takes about thirty minutes, and we'll test you on your product knowledge of the updates that have shipped over the past twelve months or so. So these are really the big ones that are critical for you, to know about and be comfortable with. The exam is open until June 30 at 11:59PM. Typically, we see a lot of people wait until the last few days. I don't know if that's you. No judgment. We just want you to take the exams so that way you can keep your status and pro adviser points, but I'd say hop on it because June 30 will be here before we know it. Lots of ways to train up for this. You can visit the self paced module. We have webinars that run every other week. Lots of great FAQ information on the firm of the future blog, so check it out there. And we've been running a little sweepstakes. So every week, we draw someone a winner from somebody who's completed the program and they get a $250 Visa gift card. So big shout out to Yessica, Jose, Yoreni, and Amber. Congratulations to you on being our sweepstakes winners. Alright. So moving on from your certification, we also have a few other exciting programs that are open right now. We host a program called partner council. This is a phenomenal way to give feedback to Intuit that helps shape our road map. There's a select group of folks who are chosen for this program every year based on various criteria. If you are interested in council, go ahead and submit your application today. The link is right there. You'll learn more about what that criteria is, and there's many different pro advisers, Some of whom are are on in the know that can tell you about their experience if you reach out to them. But from what I hear, it's a really wonderful way to get to know Intuit and give your feedback. That way you make sure the product continues to be built for you. So go ahead and submit. A different program, equally exciting, is Intuit Connect. Intuit Connect is our annual conference that we host in Las Vegas. It was formerly called QuickBooks Connect, but we now call it Intuit Connect. And general registration is open. Highly encourage you to register. Come hang out in Vegas. It's always a ton of fun. And this year, we'll have Brene Brown, phenomenal speaker and thinker, and Queen Latifah as our keynote speaker. So do it for Queen Latifa. It'll be a blast. Also at Intuit Connect, we'll have some really exciting news that is specific to you, to our accounting partners, to our pro adviser partners. There are some really exciting products that our colleagues across the organization have invested a lot of time, talent, heart into, and we'll be announcing what that is at Connect. So let this serve as a little teaser that good things are just around the corner. Much more to come. Alright. Also a few other upcoming webinars from Chaos to Control, scaling product based businesses, and QuickBooks plus reach reporting, supercharge your reporting and advisory services. So check those out if that applies to you. Alright. So let's move on to the heart of the show, which is product innovations. And we will start with Square Connector. So let me go ahead and welcome Priti. Priti, welcome. Hi. Hi, Jaclyn. Hi, everyone. Thank you so much. Hi, everyone. I'm Preet. I'm a product manager on the QuickBooks team. I work on app integrations with QuickBooks. And today, I'm super excited to introduce you to a new app to import Square transactions to QuickBooks. This app is called the Square Connector by QuickBooks, and this is specifically designed to make your and your clients' lives easier. But let's start with a question. Do you have clients who use Square for payments? The poll this is a poll question, and it's the poll should be live. Your options are never, rarely, sometimes, always. Let us know. What do you think? Many of those folks answer the poll. I'd imagine you've been doing research and digging in with the accounting community. Do you have a sense of what percentage of the accountants who work with or who partner with Intuit use Square for payments? Yeah. I mean, I think around 50 to 60% of accountants, at least, like, I spoke with, they have, like, at least one or more clients who use Square for payments and especially, accountants who deal with ecommerce, clients, they have, like, higher percentage. Like, it's almost, like, 80% of them use Square for payments. Right. Makes sense. Okay. Hopefully, that's enough time for folks to have filled out the pool. So I'd say, Rose, let's go ahead and share the answer. And then, Pranith, you can take it away. Awesome. Thank you. Great. So I think we have almost, like, 55% of, you know, accountants. Like, they have clients who have, clients who use Square for payments. So that's great. Stay tuned. We have great news for you all. So I want to acknowledge that we for over the last several years, we have had an add in app to import Square transactions to QuickBooks. However, the app had several issues and, you know, the there were, like, some shortcomings. Many of you have reached out to us or actually complained about the issues you faced, and I want you all to know that we heard you loud and clear, and we have taken your concerns seriously. In our efforts to address these issues and bring a delightful experience to you and your clients, we collaborated with Square. We worked closely with many of many accountants and including some of you in the panel today, and we did this right from the start. We invested a lot of time and effort into making this the most comprehensive Intuit built app ever. In the last couple of months, we did an extensive beta test with over 500 customers and accountants. Some of you have also been part of that beta. We gather direct feedback from over 100 customers and accountants incorporating their valuable feedback insights into designing this app to better serve your needs. Now coming to, some of the key highlights of the new app, I'll anyways be doing a a demo shortly so you'll all you'll see all these enhancements in product. So starting with the big change, the time that we take to import transactions. Earlier, in the old app, customers had to wait until Square sends out a payout to see any transaction in Intuit QuickBooks, and this was confusing. Customers were not sure if the app was working or not, and they used to often, like, disconnect and reconnect the app. Now there is no need to do this anymore. Within few hours of a sale in Intuit QuickBooks, sale in Square, the transaction appears in Intuit QuickBooks. Then the next enhancement, we added a new view for payout. There was always an ask for, us to view the individual sales and also the payout. For the time, we we brought a new view for payout where the individual sales are linked to the payout, and you can modify any individual sale if you need to. And say if if you don't want an then the payout looks good, you can just bulk add bulk add the entire payout and the individual transactions to books. Then the next one, we also brought, customer and product tracking capabilities. So you can match, when you get customers from Square, into QuickBooks, you can match them with what you have in QuickBooks. We do that, we, we have an AI engine which automatically does that match for you as well. And then we also improve the, the accounting accuracy, for Square transactions. As you know, Square sends a lot of adjustments. Like, there are almost 50 different types of adjustments that Square can send, like, something like, you know, holds, disputes, capital payments, reserve releases. So all of these were not, not well accounted for in the in the old app. So in the new app, we bring all of these transactions, and we automatically account them for you as well. And, finally, we also import and track sales tax. So you can track the sales tax both at a transaction level and at a line item level into this in the in in QuickBooks itself, thereby you can streamline your accounting processes. So these are, some of the, you know, key highlights of the of the app, and and this is one of the most comprehensive update to an Intuit built app. And this app can be found in App Store. We went live. It's already, live in in in Intuit App Store, find apps page, or you can go into find integrations page in product. It's pretty easy to connect. You can you we have, like, several videos to help you connect, help you, understand how to use the app and also, upgrading the app. And we have more enhancements coming to the app. So we, split payments, we'll be accepting those soon, and then, we'll also be supporting customers using square checking. And, the other big odds that we have is, big enhancement that we have is to import transactions at a payout level. So if you don't want the individual level details into QuickBooks, we are building a feature to just ping transactions at a summary level. And all the existing customers from the old app will be automatically migrated, into the new app. Communications will be sent both to your clients and to you, and we will start the migration, like, later this month. It'll be a pretty smooth and simple migration from the old app to the new app. Okay. And, yeah, both, accountants and clients can connect to this app. It's called, again, Square Connector by QuickBooks. This has been live, since May. And right now, it is available only in US, but soon we'll be launching it to other, other geographies as well. With that, let's quickly go into the demo. Now let's see the new app in product. Let's start from finding the app. This is the app's overview page where you can see all your connected apps, and this is the apps fly out where you can see both your connected apps and recommendations. You might find the new app in recommendations, or you can also go find it in the find apps tab or QuickBooks App Store. As we see the new Square app here, let's go ahead and connect it. The connection flow is pretty simple. You enter your credentials, you give consent, and then you review your settings. With this app, you can go back up to two years to import data, and you can also pick and choose which square locations you want to import. Once you have made those selections, you can click on save, sync now, and that's it. Your app is connected. With the new app, you can view a summary of your transaction import. You can also see tasks created if you have transactions for review. Now let's go and view our Square transactions. All the transactions imported from Square will be under the app transactions tab. The new app is highly configurable and allows you to change settings anytime. In the new app, to make accounting easier and more accurate, we create some default chart of accounts. These chart of accounts are created to make accounting more accurate and to account for adjustments, holds, etcetera. And as you can see, you can change them anytime. Say your client makes an error during the connection flow, you can you can come back post connection and change these settings. You need not disconnect and reconnect the app. Now let's go to the transactions. As I said earlier, in the new app, transactions will be imported almost immediately after the sale occurs. You need not wait until the payout is released from Square. You can see here that both the individual sales are imported, and, also, the payout is imported from Square. To make reconciliation easier in QuickBooks and to avoid you needing to go into your client's Square account, we import all the rich data from Square into QuickBooks, starting from customer name, taxes, discounts, promotions, adjustments, shipping, products and services. Every important information that is needed to reconcile transactions is imported from Square into QuickBooks. We not only import products and services into QuickBooks, but we also try to find matches to existing products and services in QuickBooks. Say, for this product, we found a match. There are a couple of matches. You can compare them. So I can compare the matches. I can select which is the best one for me and then make that selection and that the and that product is linked. And QuickBooks also remembers your selection for your future transactions. This also applies for customers. So we also try to match customers with existing customer list in QuickBooks. And, again, this is configurable. If you don't want to track customers and products in QuickBooks, you can go turn it off, or on in settings anytime, and you need not, like, disconnect and reconnect the app. Now let's say you have lot of transactions for, transactions from Square, and you don't want to view, all these details. You just want to view them as payouts. You can go here to the view by option, and you can just view the transactions as summary. Now you just see the payout summary. Now coming to my favorite enhancement, the payout view. I'm so grateful to be able to talk to some of you in the process of building the app. And lot of you have mentioned the the need the mentioned the need to have the ability to view individual sales in a payout and also be able to modify any individual sales if needed. Here it is. For every payout, you can see all the transactions that are included in the payout. You can modify them, not just the sales, even adjustments, capital payments, any reserve releases that Square has done for the payout. All of them will be imported and will be accurately accounted for. Say everything looks good. You can bulk add the payout and the transactions within it with just a click of a button. These are only some of the highlights of the new app, but there are many more that we added to the app. And we are also building new enhancements. We also have elaborate videos explaining how to connect and use the app. And if you have used the old app, we have a video explaining the differences too. As I said, we are still adding new features and enhancements to the app, and your feedback is very valuable. You can use the give feedback button on the right to give your feedback. And, also, let us know if you are facing any issues with the app, and our team will reach out to you as soon as possible. Any questions? Please ask, and wait. I can answer those. And, again, thank you so much for giving, us this opportunity. Well, let's go ahead and zoom out. We'd love to hear there were a lot of specific questions that were answered, but could you just do a quick zoom out and do a quick compare and contrast between old and new and what some of the key benefits are? Yes. So one is the faster import of transactions, so you can see them, very quickly into QuickBooks. The is you can see both the individual individual sale transaction and also the, payout, and you can also modify the individual transaction. All this, you can do it even without without adding transactions to books. So you have a review placed. You can see what you are, what you want to change, and you have, like, complete control over what you're gonna add into, or add into your books. And, then square the details. Like, the amount of, details that we get into this, get with this app is is super high. Like, we get every single transaction type, like, say, at like, the capital payments or holds and disputes, everything from Square, and different discounts, gift card payments. Everything from Square is automatically imported into QuickBooks. So there is no need for you to go into your client's Square account and see and try to, you you know, match transactions. So the reconciliation is made much faster. And we support locations. We support sales taxes. So every information is brought into QuickBooks. Oh, really exciting. Okay. So let's go ahead and get into some of the detail. I'm just gonna lob out the questions that were that were, asked. So bear with me. I'm looking at my notes. Specific question. Does the sync still show each individual transaction, or will it batch in total by day? So right now, it shows individual transactions, have a view within the product where you can just view the summary, but it still adds individual transaction. The, in in a in a in a couple of months, we are building a new enhancement where you can just import the summary by payout. So even the summary is gonna come out soon. Great. Okay. And then final question just because we're tight on time. If one of our pro advisers on the call already has an accountant who has a Square integration. Is there any action that they need to take? Not right now. So within, a few weeks or in the in the coming months as well. So they will see communications like email and also in product. They'll see a message that they are ready to upgrade to the new connector. And when they see that message, they can just click on the upgrade now button, and that's it. Like, within few you know, within couple hours, the data from the old Square app will be migrated into the new one. Well, hey. Nothing sounds better than a click click of a button. Pretty pretty easy. Well, thank you so much for that fantastic demo and for your time on the show. Hopefully, you can stick around for a little bit to ask some of the questions that roll through in the q and a. Oh, yeah. Sure. Thank you so much. Yeah. Thank you. Well, I'll go ahead and move us to a quick poll. So you'll notice that at the end of each of these sections, we'll be launching a poll to gauge your interest in the update that was shared and determine if you would like us to follow-up on next steps or perhaps you're not interested because this isn't a fit for you, which is perfectly fine. So as it relates to the Square connector, if you would like to be contacted by Intuit to learn more about the topic, let us know. You can either opt for yes, please contact me. You'll receive an email or a phone call from us with more information specific to this or no. Thank you. I'm not interested. We will not share the results of this poll. Again, it's just meant to help us tailor our communication to you. Alright. So no trick questions here. Hopefully, that is enough time. I'm gonna move us on to our next topic, which is all about Mineral, which is a party HR adviser for QuickBooks Online premium and elite payroll customers. So let me go ahead and invite Kev onto the stage. Kev, welcome. Hello. Hi, everyone. My name is Kev. I'm on the product team here at Intuit, and I lead a benefits and HR advisory product. So health benefits, retirement, business insurance, and HR adviser, which I'm here to talk to you about. Alright. Let's get started with a poll. So how often do your clients use mineral for HR advice? Is it never? I hope it's not. Is it rarely, sometimes, or always? Yep. There might be pro advisers on the call who are new to mineral. Do you mind just grounding? I'm sure you'll go into it in the presentation, but perhaps you could just ground folks in the definition. Yeah. So Mineral is a partnership that that we have, and they are sort of an HR compliance adviser. So they have a bunch of resources that customers can use if they have questions about HR topics, HR laws, HR compliance issues, and they provide guidance templates, etcetera. We're gonna talk a bit more about the specific, products and services that they offer, but, they're pretty strong, partner that we have. Oh, thank you. Fantastic. Alright. Well, it looks like most folks have answered. So I will leave it to you to take it away and dive into the demo. Yeah. So it looks like most folks have never used mineral, which is sad, but also, class are full. There's a huge opportunity here as well. Alright. You know, just, like, quickly talk about, what minerals. Now we start talking about this a little bit, but the origin here is we heard of customers, sharing feedback about, how difficult and time consuming it was for them to keep track of the ever changing HR laws and regulation and how expensive it is at times. I heard of many customers that had to pay thousands of dollars to lawyers to help them navigate new compliance laws. And, of course, this adds, risk to their businesses as well. So what we did was, start this partnership with Mineral. It's been around for for some time. So just trying to reintroduce it to folks, and it's available to premium and elite payroll customers. And Mineral provides a number of resources, for customers to navigate many different HR issues. So, hiring, determination, benefits, compensation, etcetera. They have also, like, live advisers that elite customers specifically can use. So instead of the high level, we'll learn more in in the demo. But some quick facts for your back pocket. As I mentioned, this product is available to premium and elite payroll customers. How folks can access this is through the payroll tab in, QuickBooks and navigating to the HR adviser tab within payroll. And there'll be a pretty large CTA to go to Mineral. As I mentioned, this has been active for for some time. We launched this in 2019. And we're just trying to get as many of our customers, to use it. And this is specifically focused in The US. Alright. So I'll quickly pivot to a demo. I recorded a video, so I'll play that in a To access the HR adviser product, customers will navigate to the payroll option and will navigate to the HR adviser tab within payroll. Premium customers will have access to the GoToMineral button that once they click, will open the Mineral platform and they can use the different services available on this platform. Going from left to right, the HR compliance button highlights the different laws and regulations that apply to different businesses and general information about HR topics. For example, if you click into the compliance dashboard, you can see which laws will apply to companies at different numbers of employees. For example, a company with 50 employees will have to comply with the Affordable Care Act reporting regulations. Additionally, you're able to see any specific alerts that might be relevant to your company and this is really dependent on the state that you're in, the number of employees that you have. And you can use the tabs on the side to filter for specific laws that are relevant to you. So for example, if you're looking for latest law alerts around hiring, you would just check that option and it should update and return all the laws that should be relevant to you. Additionally, the company policies option is going to provide a way for customers to create an employee handbook. So customers can provide very specific information and Mineral will create a handbook for the specific state that they're in. And typically, customers can only do this for one state in the free version of this product. If they would like to create handbooks for multiple states, so for example, if they have employees in all those states, Mineral offers that as an additional paid product. Some of the options on this page are going to be products that customers can pay extra for. So for example, the safety tab, the training tab are going to be paid products. So if I click in the training tab, for example, customers would be able to take certain courses or sorry, employees of customers would be able to take certain courses that have been created in this module and they'll be able to track what courses employees have been taking. They can be able to assign specific training to those specific employees. Again, this is a product that customers would have to purchase outside of the free version that we provide. Moving on to the next tab, the HR Tools tab will give customers pre built tools to help them make HR decisions. For example, using different types of calculators and knowing what kind of minimum wage is applied in different states. So for example, if I click the minimum wage map, a customer is able to see what the minimum wage in each of these states are. So if I just hover over a state here, you can see the state name as well as how much the state requires employees to be paid per hour. And you can also do that search from the right hand dropdown over here. If I go back in here, you're able to see an array of different calculators. So for example, if you want to know how much it costs, to hire, what the cost for employee turnover is, overtime, etcetera, Mineral has calculators that are prebuilt. Employees can go in and put in their specific information for their company for this specific use case and Mineral will then provide an estimate for what the cost due to that specific activity is. Moving on to the right. In the Templates section, these are going to be pre built templates that customers can use for different HR processes. For example, if you want to send out an offer letter, if you want to set up benefits, set up docs, you can find all that in this Templates tab. So if I just click hiring, for example, here, it will open up a list of different templates that customers have access to. So for example, there's an applicant interview evaluation form that you can get access to for free. You can export it and you can then manipulate it to read whatever you want as you go through the evaluation process. And it provides more specific guidance that is going to be more aligned with the regulations and the compliance requirements for the specific state you're in. And that's a good overview of the Mineral product. Thank you. Alright. I heard that the audio might not be very good. We'll try to record another another video and and share it out with folks. Does that move us into the q and a? I think it does. That moves us into q and a. Fantastic. I think that I I could hear the audio from it was just a little bit faint, but like you said, we'll be sure to get another one out to the audience. Okay. We had a few questions which, you know, kind of back to the basics. Tell us more about how ProAdvisors can help their clients access mineral. Which plans does it come with? Does it cost more? Such a great resource. Yeah. So this is available to customers that have payroll premium and elite. There are a number of free features that mineral provides, for those customers. I will call out that elite payroll customers, have access to a one on one adviser as well. So, slightly more, hand hand holding if they need it. There are certain additional features that mineral, that customers can pay for in addition to the free features that we do offer. For example, if customers want a training or learning and development module, it is available with mineral that they can pay extra for. But the sort of the the free solutions that we provide are more around, templates and guidance and access to to laws and alerts that that impact customers in different states. Oh my gosh. So important. And is there any way for folks to get access to Mineral without a payroll subscription, or is it only through the payroll subscription? It's only through the payroll subscription. Got it. Yes. Great. Well, hey. We're a little bit tight on time, so let me say thank you so much for being on the show and for the fantastic demo. Hopefully, you as well can stick around for a little bit to answer some of the questions, and we'll catch you at the end of the show. So with that, let me go ahead and move us on to the poll. Again, should look familiar. This is the same poll as the last section. Would you like to learn more about Mineral and all of its great HR features and functionality? Is that a good fit for your client? Or, hey. No. Thank you. Not interested. Perhaps you don't run payroll for your clients or you have another solution you're happy with. So go ahead, pop your answer into the pool. Let us know. Give you a sec to do that. And then we will move on to our and final content segment. So let me go ahead and do that. Here we go. Improved product recommendations for your clients. Okay, Richard. Yay. Always happy to learn about news and QuickBooks online accountants particularly relevant for this audience. So let me go ahead and let you take it away. Great. Thanks, Jaclyn. Hello, everybody. For those that I I probably haven't met most of you, but, my name is Richard Kan. I'm on the account marketing team, specifically focused on product marketing. Today, I'll be walking you through our improved product recommendations experience or our new product recommendations experience in QBO a. Okay. So we'll start with the question. How often have you considered product recommendations for your clients based on in product placements that you see within QuickBooks online account group? Choices are never, rarely, sometimes, and always. Okay, Richard. So you and I, we work on the same team. We both work on accountants, and we know we've heard from our community that it can be a little overwhelming pairing the right client with the right QuickBooks subscription. So maybe tell me a little bit more about what's prompting this question. Yeah. So, what we've been hearing a lot from accountants is, just, you know, that that they need help basically helping to pick the next product. Sometimes they need help picking the next products for their clients, the right products. Obviously, we have a much bigger product suite than we did, you know, years ago, and Right. We have a new SKUs. So, you know, we also present placements in QBOA today, and they may come across a little bit more like ads. And so, you know, we wanna be more intelligent going forward about what we present to accountants and in terms of these product recommendations and actually, you know, not come across as salesy, but actually back in the clients. So Nice. Well, I think we've narrowed down the time. It looks like we have most folks who have answered. So I'll let you kind of read through the poll results and then dive into the segment. Great. Thank you. Okay. So our approach, what we've heard from the accounting community is that, you know, in Intuit, you're seeing a lot of, you know, product recommendations quite frequently. And oftentimes, they're not backed with data or they seem like they're just kind of, you know, from left field. And there's also not a lot of personalization as well. So, with that, there's just, you know, little to no confidence in our product recommendations. So what we've done is really taken a hard look at the experience that we wanna, have in QBOA for the accounting community. And we were working with our account port partners to understand, you know, what's actually needed to make educated product recommendations that you guys will actually act on. And so, you know, we've worked closely with our data scientists, and we've worked closely with, obviously, the account community. And what we're presenting now is personalized data backed insights that, are part of these product recommendations. And we built an enduring page, a landing page, where you can view all recommendations, all product recommendations that, are pertinent for your clients. Not every client will have a product recommendation, but those that do score high in our predictive models, our propensity models, will you will see that product recommendation for them. So our goal is to service, you know, like I said, high quality, inside back suggestions to help you right fit your your clients to the to the right QuickBooks solutions. Okay. So fast facts. You know, how to find it. So we're rolling out the experience this week. It should go a 100% by early next week to the account community in QBOA. But, essentially, what you would do is log in to QBOA, and you'll see actually a a new item on your left navigation bar called client subscriptions. And there's gonna be a couple different selections there, but the key selection I want you to focus in on is product recommendations. And that's where you can view your list of clients, and you'll be able to see, what product they're currently on and what product we're recommending that they consider migrating to or adding. And there's also gonna be some marketing language as well as some specific client insights that talk about why, the move is warranted, and you can use these as discussion points in your, in your discussions with clients. And I'll kinda share a screenshot next of what that experience looks like. Okay. So, like I said on the left, you'll see that in your left navigation bar item, you see product recommendations is is the selection. And you can see your client here, Solas Solar Power. They're currently on QuickBooks Plus, and what we're recommending for them is QuickBooks Online Advanced. And you can see in the column, all the client benefits and insights, particularly the fact that, it's really small for me, but I think, they're reaching a threshold of users that would warrant a consideration for QuickBooks Online Advanced. Then we've got all the sort of the the benefit language that, is about QuickBooks Advanced. And if you wanna act on it, you can hit upgrade on the far right, and that's essentially, you know, that would essentially take you into a flow where you can upgrade them from QuickBooks Plus to QuickBooks Online Advanced. Okay. I'll pause there and see if there's any questions. Thanks, Richard. This is exciting. Okay. I've got a few questions for you. So which QuickBooks products might be suggested for clients within this experience? Yeah. Great question. So this is the, you can call this version one point o of the product recommendations experience. And so there's currently four products that are are part of this v one. of all, QBO QBO advanced upgrades, as you saw in that example. That is one, product that we're gonna be recommending. The one is payroll. So SKU agnostic though, payroll has numerous SKUs, but we are making it sort of just general for payroll, a general recommendation for payroll. And then also general recommendation for payments as well. The last product we're recommending, and again, this is more for mid market clients, your large probably your largest clients, but it'd be Intuit Enterprise Suite upgrade. Now you can't actually, purchase Intuit Enterprise Suite for your clients in QBOA today, but you can essentially refer them to an account sales rep and, or refer refer refer that client for IES, and basically that would then, you know, allow you to to to set up an appointment to speak to one of our account sales reps about your client that's right for IES. Now in the future, in the very near future, we're gonna be adding additional products to the product recommendation model, and that's gonna include other QBO SKUs like essentials and plus, as well as individual SKUs for payroll, and then also to our new bill our relatively new bill pay solution, which is gonna be both an upgrade and a and a and an addition, sort of recommendation. So Mhmm. Looks like so you touched on something really interesting earlier, which is that prior to this, when, you know, we got the feedback that sometimes our recommendations could seem salesy. So what makes this new product recommendation system more credible? Yeah. So the I think the key piece is really the client insights. So, obviously, there's all the predictive models that go into this. We've got data scientists that work on these models, like, for for, you know, a year plus to to to build these. Just a little bit of background, but there's dozens of variables that go into this such as some product usage metrics. And then we also model in thresholds, at which we see other customers make the decision to upgrade or add products. So that gets built into the model as well. And what that leads to is a score for your client with respect to each product. And if they don't score they score low, they're not part of the product recommendation experience. If they score high, they're in. So that's all the the nitty gritty that goes into these recommendations behind the scenes. So Oh, would the model ever tell a pro adviser if their client needs to downgrade? Perhaps they're paying for functionality that isn't relevant to them and they could save money, or is it more just about how to move up? The course? It's it's you know, to be frank, it's mostly to to either add a new product or to upgrade. You know, we don't have downgraded models. But, you know, that is a good that is a good thought and a good suggestion. And if we're, you know, really being even handed about it, we should actually, you know, factor in downgrade options as well. So if that comes up. But, you know, generally speaking, we hope your clients are growing and and they're really good. They're in business. They're on the path of upgrading. So yeah. Well, good food for thought. Okay. So speaking of upgrades, let's say, a pro adviser gets the recommendation that their client does need to upgrade. Would the recommendation center show the cost of that upgrade? Well, they'll be taken to an experience where they see the pricing for that next next product. So they'll see that, you know, I guess you could factor the account can factor in the delta of what that client is paying now for their current product and, you know, what they'd be paying going forward. So yeah. Right. It's it's a little bit of You can do it you can do a little well, it doesn't do the simple math, though, but, hopefully, the math isn't too hard. So okay. Final question for you. Can my client have more than one product recommendation at a time? Yes. The answer the short answer is yes. I mean, a client could have zero product recommendations. Obviously, there's there's that extreme. But if a client, scores high in our in our models, for, you know, various solutions such as an advanced upgrade as well as for adding payments, yes. They can see more than one recommendation. Thanks, Ryan. More than one recommendation for that client, I should say, I should rephrase that. So Well, ultimately, we want you, the accounting firm leader, to be set up for success and to be teed up as an adviser. So, hopefully, these recommendations help you do exactly that and lean into conversations with your clients without having to scrub through every last detail on our website and compare and contrast all of the different skews that QuickBooks has. Great. Okay, Richard. Any closing words? No. But we're really excited about this product recommendations experience. It's been over a year in the making. And, again, this is just version one point o. We'll constantly look to to iterate and improve and, you know, you can look for, we won't call it version one point o, two point o, but they'll they'll be sort of additional product recommendations that you'll see in the future. So Okay. So when Richard comes back on the show, we'll know it's the two point o. So we hope to have you back soon, Richard. Thank you. Thank you for being on the show. Thanks, everybody. Thanks, Jaclyn. Okay. I'll move us into our poll so that way you can tell Richard and his team if you'd like to learn more about the recommendation functionality. So it's either yes, please contact me, or no. No. Thank you. I'm not interested. So go ahead, fill that out. And as you do, I'll move us into our next segment of the show, which is pretty short and sweet, but important nonetheless. So this is about what's around the corner and what can you expect, as we're rounding out June and heading into July. Alright. So you see a big headline here, automation where it counts, human where it matters. So in July next month, Intuit will be releasing a lot of really exciting functionality that many teams have been working hard behind the scenes to build around QuickBooks on the new Intuit platforms. There'll be a fantastic new user interface that's far more intuitive for you and for your clients as well as new agentic, AI agents. So agentic AI agents, I suppose. So on next month's in the note, and I'll go ahead and scoot us over there, we are going to take a real deep dive into how to familiarize familiarize yourself with the functions and features of the more powerful QuickBooks on the new Intuit platform. Then we'll do deep dives on two of the new AI agents. So that's the accounting agent, highly relevant to you, as well as the payments agent. So really exciting stuff. As you know, typically, our In The Know webinars are the third Thursday of every month. So that means July's will be on July 17 at eleven in the morning. So we do hope to catch you there. We'll have Joe. He's the VP of product design as well as Jason and Grace who will do the deep dives. So really great topics, highly relevant to you. Really recommend that you and your team attend if you can. In the meantime, as we lead up to our webinar in July, you can tune in to On the Books. Hopefully, you've heard of On the Books. If you haven't, it's a fantastic podcast hosted by Ted Callahan and Jessica McCracken, and they interview different leading pro advisers. They interview some of the executive team here at Intuit and dive into topics that are of interest. So, of course, leading up to these releases, they're focusing on agentic AI. So the June 10 episode already released. You can tune in. Joe really unpacks the why behind QuickBooks on the new Intuit platform. The June 24 episode will be with Chad Davis. He is a bright mind in the space and incredibly knowledgeable about AI and accountants. And then on the eighth, we'll do an accounting agent deep dive with my Michael Hitchcock, who's the VP who leads the team that built the product. So, again, very, very knowledgeable. And if podcasts are not your jam or, they are but you just want to sort of dig into the written word, there is a fantastic toolkit that was just sent around via email if you caught it last week or the week before, I believe, but you can download it here. And the toolkit sort of unpacks. Here's the new QuickBooks on the Intuit platform. Here's the AI agents, and it really helps build up that mental model of how this all works together to create a better experience. But lots of change and we wanna make sure that you have the tools, resources, community to adjust to, all of the new features and functionality there that are coming out. So with that, thank you so much. That brings us to the end of our show. So it was a fantastic June in the know webinar. Big thank you to our presenters, but most of all, thank you to you for tuning in and for being, part of our community and our audience. We always look forward to this to this time with you. So with that, let me say goodbye. We'll see you in a month. Bye.
